When does TAXMOBIL start?

The first TAXMOBIL city head office will be opened in Southern Germany, probably in Böblingen. The setup of the technology, simulation and test stage is in full activity but will take a few more months because of its complexity.

When will TAXMOBIL exist in my hometown?

Shortly after the first TAXMOBIL city head office started running, the service is going to be spread all over Germany. It is going to begin with the medium-sized cities and rural regions and within a few years, TAXMOBIL will be available over large areas. The following cities will be announced on this website.

How is TAXMOBIL working?

TAXMOBIL is a high-professional grouped transport which works without long waiting time and advance reservations. Calling – car arrives – ready to go. Matching routes will be combined which means that clients with similar destinations will be picked up. By means of this synergy, an incredible low flat rate is possible.

How can I get a TAXMOBIL card?

You can either chose Internet or one of the purchase places in the city which are all equipped with the card terminals to activate your card. Places for purchase will be gas stations, Toto-Lotto, kiosks, different shops, post offices, banks and gastronomy locations. You can pay cash or by bank withdrawal. Buy it – activate it – enjoy it!

Are there different TAXMOBIL cards?

First, there will only be the normal TAXMOBIL card for 48.00 euros (75.00 CHF) which comprises all standard offers. In future, there will also be a special family card and the business card which envisions special features for the specific target group.

Which points can I reach with my TAXMOBIL card?

You can use your TAXMOBIL card for routes inside your city or municipality. Journeys from town to town are not provided with the TAXMOBIL card. However, also TAXMOBIL has a roaming functionality which means that the service is valid in every city where TAXMOBIL is offered, without extra charges. If you are for example TAXMOBIL client in Stuttgart and you want to visit Frankfurt on business or private, you’ll be able to use TAXMOBIL as usual also in Frankfurt.

Which cars does TAXMOBIL use?

TAXMOBIL doesn’t have any own car pool but uses the cars of local taxi companies. These usually have a high inoccupation rate. TAXMOBIL buys these idle capacities to defined amounts on an hourly basis and has consequently a very variable car pool. This is happening in a similar way to cellular mobile telephony where several providers buy as well network capacities of the so-called carrier (e.g. Telekom). There will be special identification marks showing that the car drives for TAXMOBIL during its working time.

What else can I do with my TAXMOBIL card?

The TAXMOBIL card offers a number of further advantages similar to many club cards. From time to time, there will be more discounts, deductions and advantages regarding other shops where TAXMOBIL users can benefit likewise to credit cards or e.g. the ADAC membership card.
