Only by judging the economic point of views, it’s obviously that the taxi companies are going to follow our proposal and consequently also our offer.
As everybody knows, the numbers of clients regarding taxi transport have been decreasing for years. That’s to say, 75 % of the working time of a particular car is composed of waiting time and lost income.
This waiting time and the empty drives to clients and back to the waiting position reduce the turnover of a taxi per hour to less than 10 euros with the fixed costs staying at the same level. If theses times are refilled by TAXMOBIL, the turnover will increase considerably with the costs only increasing lightly, namely by the variable part at the consideration of the overall costs. Furthermore, we assume in our calculation to pay more than twice as much as the company could achieve per working hour without TAXMOBIL.
Thus, we have a classic win-win-situation.
1. Higher income and profit for the taxi company.
2. The favourable flat rate price for our clients by means of low costs per kilometre.
3. High numbers of clients and income for TAXMOBIL by means of the favourable price and the high attractiveness of the offer.
The question is how rush hour is defined.
If you take 168 working hours, the busy period on five days the week is about two hours in the morning and in the evening, that’s to say 20 hours. This means only 12 % of the hours per week in which a higher passenger volume is to be covered.
However, does this really mean an income regarding these particular times which is that much higher? As a matter of fact, the roads are always overloaded, the journeys take much longer and consequently it’s not possible for the taxi companies to carry more clients per hour. The only thing is that more cars are occupied if they are connected with the head office per radio communication. The others without radio communication, however, are standing at the known places and keep waiting for clients. Concerning Hamburg, we talk about 40 % of all cabs.
On the one hand, also these cars could be reached and used with the help of the TAXMOBIL system which is independent from radio communication. On the other hand, the calculation doesn’t say that taxi companies charter out their cars to us only at times with a low degree of capacity utilization but also to the rush hours.
The TAXMOBIL idea arose out of the thought how to make the own taxi company more efficient. At the same time, more clients and therefore a greater turnover and more income were meant to be gained. As a consequence, TAXMOBIL isn’t supposed to compete with existing taxi companies but to act as addition to them. Taxi companies as well have already recognized the synergy effect that is the positive impact which arises from the cooperation between the two enterprises and sent positive signals towards TAXMOBIL.
Further reasons are certainly that no company has to lose its independence and there won’t be any adhesion contracts but even moderate termination clauses.
Far from it! By means of the increase of efficiency because of more drives for TAXMOBIL, there will also be more and more potential clients for single drives.
We do not force the companies to stop self-interested promotion if a client asks for a single drive or a supra-regional drive or if the client isn’t member of TAXMOBIL yet. This is possible because of the permission to take clients on the TAXMOBIL card.
Every taxi company and every driver has to act in a self-interested and profit-oriented way. It’s his own choice to use this chance or not. The one who offers adequate services e.g. with clean cars and appropriate gentleness is on the right way to gain a certain clientele for special routes aside from TAXMOBIL.
